Animation project
This animation project allowed me to explore using photoshop files in adobe premiere and I explored further use of keyframes in motion and scale.
ABC project.
This project helped me revise my skills on photoshop allowing me to explore the use of keyframes, motion, colour, negatives and hue and saturation of colour.
Transition Music Video (Take On Me- AHa Ft. DJ Babyboi)
This music video first introduced me to the "Adobe Premiere" software on which i learnt how to import files, cut and adjust video files, change colour, contrast and speed of the clips and how to render my own video with titles and credits.
Directors considerations and decisions.

Q. Why do bands/artists like music videos?

My Favourite Music Videos
David Guetta & Chris Willis (ft. Fergie and LMFAO)- Gettin' Over You
I like this video solely for the mise-en-scene.
It combines the microphones and PA Systems and headphones and setting of a music studio with the bright clothes, skateboards and bikes from the urban life of everyday teenagers..
Thus combining the business of music and the fan and shows the lighthearted fun which is a result of the hard work in making music, which makes me appreciate myself the work which goes into recording music.
This music video directly associates itself with its target audience by portraying them within the video.

My Favourite Music Videos
You Me At Six- Stay With Me
I like this video for a few simple reasons.
I like the lighting, as in Crush Crush Crush as they stand infront of the light shining towards the camera causing, in some shots, a lens flare which i believe softens the shot.
The shots are also softened in the various pull focus' on the band, background and characters. These soften the mood of the video expressing the emotion and passion in the song.
I also like the metaphorical storyline of using memories as seeds to grow back your relationships. This is an abstract response to the lyrics and allows the viewer to ponder over what is actually going on. There is also a link to the lyrics "These things take time to grow"

My Favourite Music Videos
Paramore- Crush Crush Crush
I like this video because there is a really effective positioning of the band infront of the sun creating a silhouetted effect and creates more shadows in the video which link in to the dark and bitter lyrics of the song.
The camera shots range from long shots to reveal the desolate landscape in which the video is set which I believe reflects the feelings of loneliness in the lyrics "Just the one, two of us... that never happens" to extreme close ups which show the close ups of the lead singers face to show the emotion in her face as she sings the lyrics thus strongly conveying the emotion of the song.
There is also a strong implication of an internal viewer in the shots of the abstract characters in the "middle of nowhere" home setting who are using a telescope to view the band and there is a use of a telescopic frame around some shots to imply spying.
There are clever merges of shots to compare and create links between the characters and the abstract characters, for example: At 2:45 the lead singer is seen in a bath tub, then, using fast, fading transitions; another woman is seen in the bath in the same position and again back to the singer.
I like this video because of the clever lighting and exposure effects, the fitting musicality and the fast changing and varied shots at the pace at which the video moves.
